The Ministry of Education and Research has initiated a public consultation for a draft order that regulates enrollment in the 9th grade for the school year 2026-2027. According to this, graduates of the 8th grade who have obtained first prize at the national stage of school olympiads or prizes at international competitions recognized by the ministry can enroll in high school without taking the national assessment.

The project stipulates that these students can participate in enrollment in only one county and will be based on a list that correlates the specifics of the olympiad with the high school's track or profile. The final form of the methodology will be approved after analyzing the feedback received and following a meeting of the Social Dialogue Commission within the ministry.
