The Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced that the Start-Up Nation program will continue, but it will be subject to an analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of all state aid schemes. He emphasized that the current model, which offers one-time funding, does not ensure the creation of sustainable companies in the long term.
During a specialized conference, Darău mentioned that the entire mechanism of the program depends on European funds and the national budget. Although Start-Up Nation is considered a success story, the minister expressed concerns regarding its optimal implementation. He highlighted the need to change the current approach, which focuses on short-term funding, in order to achieve more sustainable results in the development of companies.
