Bogdan Ivan stated that work is being done on renegotiating the deadlines in the PNRR for the elimination of coal-fired power plants, proposing to extend this deadline until 2030. Ivan emphasized that Romania has reduced coal and gas energy production by 56% in the last decade and that investments are being made in renewable sources, but the lack of storage capacities limits their efficiency. He also mentioned that Romania will exploit gas resources in the Black Sea, which will reduce electricity prices.
