Cristian Radu has been placed in preventive detention for 30 days, after the Constanța Court of Appeal accepted the appeal of the DNA prosecutors. He is accused of five counts of bribery, including one ongoing, and money laundering, related to the issuance of urban planning documents and commercial activities on the beach. In total, he allegedly demanded 645,000 euros, of which he received amounts in the form of goods. He also concealed the money by purchasing a hotel in Cap Aurora.
