Between June 2 and 22, the Labor Inspection conducted a large-scale control action to combat undeclared work in sectors such as land passenger transport, online commerce, and postal activities.
The Deputy General Inspector, Mihai Ucă, emphasized the importance of complying with legislation in the context of the digitalization of the economy. Following 1,087 inspections, 2,053 individuals were found working without legal forms, and employers received 453 sanctions, with fines totaling 23,312,513 lei.
Timis County was the most affected, with 1,459 undeclared workers and the highest fines. The Labor Inspection will intensify controls to ensure the protection of employees' rights and to address the identified violations.
