The investigation regarding the accident near Lugoj is ongoing, with inquiries for bodily harm and manslaughter. The driver had psychoactive substances in their blood.

The technical expertise regarding a possible steering wheel blockage during the overtaking has not been completed, and the case is being managed by the Police of Lugoj Municipality, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office next to the Lugoj Court. Investigations are being conducted for offenses of bodily harm through negligence and manslaughter.

A toxicological analysis report conducted by IML Timișoara confirmed the presence of psychoactive substances, including cannabis and cocaine, as well as alcohol in the bloodstream of the driver. Suspicious substances were found at the accident site, but the test results are not yet available.

Two of the accident survivors were transported by a medical plane to Greece, and one will be hospitalized, while the third injured person remains hospitalized in Timișoara after a surgical intervention. The investigation continues to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
