This contribution will increase from 0.0084 lei to 0.0136 lei/kWh, which means an increase of approximately 0.47 bani/kWh. This is the fourth increase in energy bills since the market was liberalized in July. According to estimates, an average consumer using 100 kWh will pay 0.47 lei more per month, and for a consumption of 200 kWh, the increase will be nearly one leu.

The contribution is a regulated tax, and the amounts collected are intended to support energy producers in cogeneration. ANRE sets the value of this contribution based on projected costs and revenues.
