The tradition of bringing the Holy Light from Jerusalem will continue this year, with precautions related to the current geopolitical situation. According to the press release from the Romanian Patriarchate's Press Office, on the evening of Saturday, Father Archimandrite Ioan Meiu will bring the Holy Light from Jerusalem, which will be offered to the delegates of the dioceses at Henri Coandă International Airport. Subsequently, the deaneries will distribute the light to the parishes.

In the event of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the Patriarchate has prepared an alternative solution: the Holy Light from 2025, kept lit at the Patriarchal Cathedral 'Saints Constantine and Helena'. This tradition symbolizes communion and ecclesial unity, as well as the Paschal joy of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Patriarch Daniel will receive the light at the Patriarchal Cathedral, and the organization of this event emphasizes the importance of the ritual in the religious life of the community.
