The Holy Light from Jerusalem arrived on Saturday evening at 19:03 at 'Henri Coandă' International Airport, brought by Archimandrite Teofil Anăstăsoaie, the representative of the Romanian Patriarchate at the Holy Places. Upon arrival, the light was offered to the delegates of the present dioceses, and it will be distributed throughout the country and in the Republic of Moldova.
His Grace Father Paisie of Sinai, who welcomed the delegation, emphasized the importance of the light as a symbol of Christ's sacrifice and communion. He stated that the light is the expression of life and knowledge, bringing peace and truth. Patriarch Daniel will receive the Holy Light during a procession at the Patriarchal Cathedral, and the delegations from the country will take the light to local churches for the Resurrection Service.
The Holy Light is considered a miracle of Orthodoxy, igniting annually in Jerusalem on Great Saturday, bringing hope and peace to believers around the world.
