The Ministry of Health announced that the Government approved, in the meeting on Tuesday evening, the Memorandum that allows the unlocking of 6,850.75 positions in public health units.
The measure mainly targets the filling of positions for nurses, auxiliary medical staff, and doctors, essential for the functioning of the healthcare system. Of the total unlocked positions, 6,452 are intended for hospitals funded by the National Health Insurance Fund, while 398.75 will be filled within the County Ambulance Services. The distribution of positions includes 2,593 for nurses, 2,567 for auxiliary medical staff, 1,433.75 for doctors, and 257 for pharmacists and other specialists.
The interim Minister of Health, Cseke Attila, emphasized the importance of this measure for "balancing human resources" in the healthcare system and "ensuring the continuity of medical care," mentioning that efforts to support medical staff must continue.
