The Romanian government decided today to provide significant support to families affected by the devastating fire in the locality of Rucăreni, Soveja commune, Vrancea County, where 32 houses were destroyed and over 300 people were evacuated.

As a result of this incident, 27 families have been left without homes, and the authorities emphasize that, although financial aid cannot erase the trauma suffered, it is essential to provide them with concrete support for the reconstruction of their lives.

Emergency aid will be granted based on the value of the damages, covering up to 90% of the value of authorized constructions and 75% for unauthorized ones. These measures complement previous aid, totaling 800,000 lei.

The procedure for granting aid has been simplified, eliminating the need for applications and social investigations, to facilitate rapid access to support. The government is committed to standing by the affected families and ensuring the necessary aid for the restoration of their households.
