The Employees' Union of the Government Working Apparatus (SAALG) has sent an open letter to the European Commission and other international organizations, denouncing serious abuses related to trade union rights, including a discriminatory restructuring of the Prime Minister's Chancellery. It accuses attempts to intimidate employees who participated in protests and political pressure from the government leadership. SAALG calls for an assessment of these measures by international institutions and guarantees for the respect of trade union freedom in Romania, warning that these practices severely affect social dialogue and the country's international commitments.
