The CEO of Ryanair, Michael O’Leary, emphasized that the lack of kerosene could severely impact flights, especially on tourist routes. Additionally, Lufthansa is considering grounding up to 40 aircraft. The last delivery of aviation kerosene will arrive in Europe on April 9, and estimates suggest that by the end of April, Europe could have only half of the necessary kerosene. Furthermore, ticket prices could increase by more than 3% during the summer, and the Lufthansa director confirmed that fuel costs will influence fares. While 86% of European airports report normal stocks, there are concerns that a shortage could occur during the peak months of the tourist season.
