The CNAIR project to install 400 fixed radars on national roads and highways in Romania is facing delays, as the Government has not allocated the necessary funds. The spokesperson for CNAIR, Alin Șerbănescu, explained that without a clear source of funding, the tender for the purchase of surveillance cameras cannot be launched. The estimated budget for the project is 79 million lei excluding VAT, and considering previous experiences, implementation could take until 2027.
