The Traxx electric locomotive has left the factory in Kassel, Germany, bound for Romania, according to an Alstom announcement. These locomotives, purchased by the Railway Reform Authority, will be delivered by 2026 and will run at speeds of up to 200 km/h, with a contract value of 767.51 million lei, including maintenance for 20 years. They are intended to improve rail transportation efficiency and reduce pollution on the country's main routes.
