At the Miercurea Ciuc County Emergency Hospital, chief urologist Dr. Albert Caludiu announced the completion of the first two prostate cancer surgeries, a significant moment for Harghita County and for uro-oncology in the region. The procedures took place on Wednesday and Thursday, with patients aged 63 and 72 years. Both surgeries went smoothly without complications, and the patients are feeling well and have stable vital functions.

These procedures were performed with the help of the Da Vinci robotic-assisted modular surgery system, acquired with European funds through the Operational Health Program. The project had a total cost of nearly 25 million lei, part of which was self-financed. The medical team included renowned specialists in the field, who demonstrated competence and professionalism in carrying out these innovative procedures.
