A fine of 2,500 lei after a grill left unattended caused a vegetation fire in Satu Mare

A person from Satu Mare County was fined 2,500 lei after leaving an unattended lit grill, which spread and caused a wildfire in the locality of Becheni. According to ISU Satu Mare, the quick intervention of firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to a nearby cornfield. Prevention inspectors determined that the fire was caused by negligence and remind that non-compliance with the rules regarding the use of open fire can lead to penalties and endanger property and agricultural land.
