On Monday morning, firefighters resumed reconnaissance operations in the localities of Nănești, Maramureș, and Racșa, Satu Mare, affected by the vegetation fires of recent days, according to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU). The missions aim to identify residual hotspots that could cause re-ignitions.

Teams from the Sighetu Marmației Fire Department are checking the ground, and the Black Hawk helicopter is ready to intervene with water drops, having already carried out six such operations. The recent fires have affected approximately 50 hectares in Maramureș and 150 hectares in Satu Mare, and the authorities continue to monitor the situation and adapt interventions to ensure the safety of the communities.
