Extraordinary Government meeting, less than two hours before the motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan

The executive meets on Tuesday morning at 9:30 in an extraordinary hybrid meeting, convened an hour and a half before the plenary session of Parliament, where the motion of censure initiated by PSD and AUR will be debated.

On the agenda is an Emergency Ordinance (OUG) proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture, aimed at fulfilling a milestone from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).

Although the main subject is the OUG, there is a possibility that other projects may also be included on the agenda. In the meeting on Monday, the Government approved the continuation of the 'New House' Program and an ordinance that allows the Treasury to provide loans of 10 billion lei to local administrative units, to accelerate projects from the PNRR.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan is facing a motion of censure signed by 254 parliamentarians, and the outcome of the vote is uncertain, considering the changing positions of some signatories and ongoing negotiations.
