The Romanian government has approved the 'Diaspora Invests at Home' program, announced by the interim Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare. This program, managed by the Investment and Development Bank (BID), has a budget of 100 million euros aimed at Romanians abroad who wish to invest in the country. Romanians who want to start businesses in Romania can benefit from grants covering up to 60% of the value of an investment loan, with a limit of 200,000 euros per beneficiary. Investment loans range from 5,000 to 500,000 euros, aimed at developing sustainable businesses. The program aims to transform the experience accumulated by Romanians in the Diaspora into investments and jobs in Romania. BID will administer the grants transparently, collaborating with the Ministry of Finance and commercial banks. The goal is to encourage Romanians to invest at home, thus contributing to the economic development of local communities.
