The devastating fires in Caraș-Severin affect over 300 hectares / Firefighters and aerial crews are intervening in several areas to extinguish the hotspots.

Caras-Severin County is in a critical situation due to wildfires and forest fires, which have affected over 300 hectares. Military firefighters, forestry workers, and aerial crews are intervening in the affected areas, with the most difficult intervention taking place in the Domogled National Park - Valea Cernei, where the flames have engulfed approximately 25 hectares.

Due to the rugged terrain, two helicopters were sent for air support, which carried out dozens of water drops. Other significant fires occurred in the localities of Maru, Parvova, and Resita, where firefighters managed to locate the hotspots and protect nearby homes. In Rusca Montană, the fire has been completely extinguished. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and maintain alert, considering the devastating impact on forests and vegetation.
