The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, announced that the daily food allowance will increase by over 60%, reaching 32 lei by 2026, and funding for social services will increase significantly.

This decision comes in response to the constant increase in the cost of living, considering that the allocation has remained unchanged since 2022. Manole emphasized the importance of this measure for vulnerable individuals, including children, people with disabilities, and the elderly. Additionally, funding for social services will increase by 44% for children and by 39% for adults with disabilities. The minister highlighted that these measures are not just statistics, but represent concrete improvements in the quality of life for those who depend on state support.
