The General Inspectorate of the Romanian Gendarmerie has initiated internal checks to analyze the legality of the sanction, emphasizing that, although there were legal grounds for its application, the emotional context of the event should have been taken into account. Colonel Toma Marius Cezar has been authorized to take over the position of general director of the Capital Gendarmerie, which was temporarily vacant. Major General Alin Mastan, the general inspector of the Gendarmerie, publicly apologized for the situation created, acknowledging that the observing officer did not fully understand the spirit of the law. The organizer Marian Rădună contested the fine, arguing that the event was notified and that it did not exceed legal limits. The march gathered hundreds of participants to commemorate the 65 victims of the 2015 tragedy, highlighting the lack of accountability following the incident.
