The Capital City Hall has decided to cancel the 'Open Streets' event scheduled for this weekend. This decision was made considering the occurrence of two major events in Bucharest: the Bucharest International Half Marathon 2026 and the Bucharest Food Truck Festival. Local authorities deemed that the simultaneous organization of these events could create congestion and difficulties in traffic management. The half marathon is a large-scale sporting event, and the Bucharest Food Truck Festival attracts a large number of visitors, making it necessary to cancel 'Open Streets' to ensure an orderly conduct of activities. This measure reflects the City Hall's concern for the safety and comfort of citizens and participants in the events.
