The Capital City Hall has announced a comprehensive program for the modernization of public transport infrastructure, which will include the restoration of approximately 50 kilometers of tram tracks. These works will affect traffic in several areas of the city, leading to the suspension of some tram lines, such as 14, 17, and 36, and the modification of routes for other tram, trolleybus, and bus lines. In some areas, shuttle bus lines will be introduced to replace the affected trams. The City Hall emphasizes that, although the works will create discomfort, the Intercommunity Development Association – TPBI has reorganized the routes to provide alternatives for travelers.

The works will take place on important arteries, including Bd. Ferdinand I, Șos. Mihai Bravu, and Bd. Lacul Tei. The modifications include the complete suspension of some lines, shortening or diverting others, as well as the introduction of temporary lines to cover the affected areas. The City Hall encourages citizens to consult the InfoSTB application for updated information before traveling.
