Patriarch Daniel proclaimed the canonization of Saints Saints Paisios and Cleopas, underlining the importance of the two faithful for the Romanian Orthodox faith.

The proclamation of the canonization of Saints Saints Paisios and Cleopas, along with 14 other saints of the 20th century, is a sign of divine work among the faithful, said Patriarch Daniel. This event coincides with the 100th anniversary of the elevation of the Romanian Orthodox Church to the rank of Patriarchate, highlighting the need for authentic confessors. The Patriarch praised the efforts of the Sihăstria Monastery and asked the intercession of the saints for the protection and blessing of the monastic community.
