On October 27, the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, will decorate His Holiness Bartholomew I, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, in an official ceremony at the Cotroceni Palace, scheduled for 6:00 PM. This distinction recognizes the Patriarch's contribution to promoting inter-Orthodox dialogue and the support given to the Romanian Orthodox Church. The ceremony will also honor the Romanian Patriarchate for its role in strengthening national spirituality. Bartholomew I is an influential figure in the Christian world, known for his ecumenical initiatives and for environmental protection, being dubbed the 'Green Patriarch.'
