President Nicușor Dan will have a meeting on Thursday with Antonio Costa, the President of the European Council, at the Cotroceni Palace.
According to the Presidential Administration, Costa will be welcomed in the Honorary Hall of the Palace, where there will be tête-à-tête talks, followed by official discussions. At the end of the meeting, the two officials will hold a joint press conference.
After the visit to Romania, Antonio Costa will travel to Sofia, where he will meet with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev, and to Athens, to discuss with the Greek Government head, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. He also visited Bucharest in September last year, emphasizing Romania's importance for European security, and Nicușor Dan stated that this visit reflects European solidarity.
