The Budapest – Bucharest North train stopped between Caracal and Fărcașele due to a defective locomotive.

The IR 12079 train, which operates on the Budapest – Bucharest North route, was stopped between the Caracal and Fărcașele stations due to an accidental malfunction of the EA 014 locomotive.

The locomotive, modernized by SC RELOC SA Craiova, is insured by this company. To resume operations, CFR Călători has sent a replacement locomotive to the scene. Additionally, the intervention teams of the company responsible for maintenance are on their way to resolve the issue.

CFR Călători has stated that it is making every effort necessary to resume operations safely as soon as possible.
