The Bucharest Tribunal has decided that the sanitation service of Romprest in Sector 1 continues until 2033, annulling the notification of the City Hall to terminate the contract.

The Bucharest Tribunal has published a ruling confirming the validity of the waste collection contract between Romprest Service SA and the Sector 1 City Hall, which will run until June 30, 2033.

The court annulled the notification from the City Hall announcing the termination of the contract on June 30, 2026, arguing that the addendum on which this decision was based did not come into effect due to the failure to meet an essential condition. Romprest emphasized that the City Hall is ignoring the court's ruling and continues efforts to replace the operator, wishing to award the service to another company, Blue Planet Services SA.

Romprest's appeals are currently pending at the Bucharest Tribunal, and any new contract signed with another operator would be null, according to the law. Representatives of Romprest are calling for respect for judicial rulings and the continuation of service provision under legal conditions.
