The institution specifies that all billboards of the three advertising companies will be neutralized on Monday, as announced by the involved firms.

Since the beginning of April, dozens of billboards in Bucharest with anti-C-section messages have appeared, such as: "Myth or reality: through surgery, C-section disrupts the vital process of natural birth", "Myth or reality: through C-section, the lack of dilation and contractions is genetically transmitted from mother to daughter" or "Natural birth should be the norm while C-section is the exception".

These messages, which suggest that natural birth should be the standard and that C-section affects the vital process of birth, have also caught the attention of USR Senator Cynthia Păun since the beginning of the month, who said that they are contextually lacking and disrespectful towards women.

"They are being neutralized! Three outdoor advertising companies have complied with the request from the general mayor Ciprian Ciucu, through the Local Police of Bucharest, and have agreed to remove the anti-C-section message from all the billboards they own in Bucharest. Even though the sector municipalities authorize the locations of the billboards, and the companies that own them make contracts and post paid advertisements, the mayor decided to intervene," announced the Bucharest City Hall on Sunday evening.
