The Environmental Guards in Bihor have implemented a project with European funds to use drones for the purpose of detecting illegal waste. A high-performance drone has already identified illegal dumps in Lugașu de Jos, and the Municipality will be sanctioned. In the first semester, the commissioners conducted 869 inspections, applying 286 fines and taking compliance measures. The 'Clean Bihor' program has had a significant impact, with checks at 99 of the 101 administrative-territorial units in the county.
