In the commune of Viile-Satu Mare, a bicycle path of almost seven kilometers has been built, at a cost of approximately 440,000 euros. However, the locals, mostly elderly, wonder who this investment is for, considering that there are no cyclists in the area. The path is only 90 centimeters wide, is covered with gravel, and lacks a clear demarcation from the road, with the edges fading into grass. The people in the village consider the project a waste of money, and some describe it as a "bad joke." Although the contractor claims that the work is nearly completed, the mayor acknowledges dissatisfaction with the quality of the execution and the delay of the project. Locals believe that the money could have been used for more urgent needs of the community.
