Konstantinos Passaris, nicknamed 'The Beast of the Balkans', has submitted a new request for conditional release to the Dolj Tribunal, after the court rejected his previous requests in recent months. His lawyer claims that Passaris has made progress and meets the necessary conditions for release.
In the last request, from June, the judges took into account his aggressive behavior, having been sanctioned 28 times in the prisons of Romania, and rejected his request.
Passaris has been incarcerated for over 28 years, having a life sentence for a double murder and an armed robbery. He has also committed over 20 crimes in Greece, where he was also incarcerated.
He managed to escape from a Greek prison, where he killed four people, including a prison officer. His release request will be analyzed by the court, considering his criminal history.
