The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) announced the relocation of military equipment from the area of the commune of Ceatalchioi, Tulcea County, due to the danger of explosion from a ship loaded with LPG, which was hit by Russian drones in the port of Izmail, Ukraine. The competent authorities ordered the preventive evacuation of the population from the localities of Plauru and Ceatalchioi, considering the risks associated with the fire on the ship. MApN emphasized that the evacuation of military surveillance systems is a secondary measure, with the priority being the protection of citizens. Additionally, the Ministry continues to monitor the situation and adjust necessary measures to ensure the continuity of defense and surveillance missions. The head of DSU, Raed Arafat, mentioned that a potential explosion could have an impact over a radius of 4.5-5 km.
