Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, announced that the ANI Law, recently rejected due to amendments contested by PNL and USR, has been reintroduced in Parliament. Abrudean emphasizes that this project is pro-transparency and respects the Constitution, urging PSD to avoid introducing unconstitutional amendments that could compromise the purpose of the law. He warned that Romania risks losing nearly 800 million euros from the PNRR if PSD continues to sabotage this initiative. The law was previously rejected by PSD, UDMR, AUR, and PACE parliamentarians, while PNL and USR did not vote, accusing PSD of dedicated modifications. Abrudean insists on the need for a real mechanism for transparency of assets to meet the milestone in the PNRR.
