Individuals who did not manage to register in the first phase of the Rabla Program now have a new opportunity. The AFM has approved an additional list of 3,661 eco-tickets intended for the purchase of cars, with a total value of approximately 48 million lei.
The Rabla Auto 2026 program was launched on July 20, 2026, with a budget of 300 million lei allocated for individuals. In the first week, nearly 6,000 applications were registered for electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV), as well as almost 10,000 for gasoline vehicles and classic hybrids.
Florin Bănică, the president of the Environmental Fund Administration, emphasized the importance of this program in supporting the renewal of the national car fleet and reducing pollution.
Beneficiaries have 60 days to destroy the old vehicle and deregister it.
The session for purchasing vehicles with thermal and hybrid engines is ongoing, with a remaining budget of 10,790,000 lei, and registrations can be made until December 31, 2026.
Although there has been high demand for electric cars, the pace of application submissions has decreased, and the budgets for motorcycles have been quickly exhausted.
In the Thermal Rabla program, out of the budget of 165 million lei, 110.5 million lei has been requested, indicating limited interest in this segment. It is expected that the budgets will be exhausted by the end of summer.
