A teenager from Brașov has been arrested preventively for setting a car on fire, a provocation originating from the online environment.

A 15-year-old teenager from Brașov has been placed in preventive custody, being suspected of having set fire to a car following a challenge on a social media platform. The incident occurred on the night from Thursday to Friday, when the vehicle was found completely destroyed by flames.

The Brașov Police conducted a complex investigation, establishing that the fire was set without any connection to the injured party. On February 14, the police carried out a search, where they seized relevant evidence.

The young man was detained for 24 hours, and the court decided on preventive arrest for 30 days. The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the act.
