A 54-year-old teacher from Medgidia has been detained for allegedly beating a 10-year-old student after the latter tore a document with the results of the National Assessment.

A 54-year-old teacher from Medgidia was detained by police for assaulting a 10-year-old student, the incident occurring on May 25. According to the Constanța County Police Inspectorate, the woman allegedly drank and insulted the student after he tore a document with his results from the National Assessment.

The aggression generated a state of fear and outrage among the other students present in the classroom. The police have launched an investigation for abusive behavior and disturbing public order, and the legal representative of the minor was handed a request for obtaining a protection order. The woman was detained for 24 hours and is to be presented to the prosecutor in charge to decide on preventive measures.
