Three administrators of commercial companies from Bihor, one Italian and two Romanians, are being investigated for tax evasion and embezzlement. They allegedly created a mechanism through which they overvalued truffles and wild fruits collected from individuals, recording expenses of over 150 million lei in accounting documents.

The police conducted 16 searches, confiscating 78 kilograms of truffles worth approximately 125,000 lei and relevant documents for the investigation. The action was coordinated by the Economic Crime Investigation Service, with the support of other police inspectorates. The damage to the state budget will be determined later, and investigations continue to document the entire criminal activity.
