The interim Minister of Transport, Miruță, decided to revoke the director of TAROM, Bogdan Costaș, due to the failure to achieve a realistic budget. According to the minister, the company's management requested approval for a budget based on false figures, including a load factor of 79%, in contrast to the reality of 65%. Miruță emphasized that he repeatedly requested the budget to be redone, but was pressured to approve a fiction. He highlighted the serious financial problems facing TAROM, including operational losses and outstanding debts. In place of Costaș, the Board of Directors appointed Cristian Anghel as interim general director and initiated a competitive selection for a new director, according to current legislation.
