On Sunday, August 24, tourists in the Rodna Mountains were surprised by the first snowfall of the season, a rare event for this date. The Pietrosu peak, the highest in the Eastern Carpathian chain, was witness to this phenomenon, with an altitude of 2,303 meters. The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) announced that the weather will be cold in the northern half of the country, with maximum temperatures between 17 and 29 degrees, and minimums between 3 and 13 degrees, and variable skies with isolated showers.
