The interim Minister of Agriculture, Tánczos Barna, announced that next week a package of laws aimed at supporting cattle and pig breeders will be submitted to Parliament.
This package, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agriculture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, includes two aid programs: 68 euros for each bovine aged at least 22 months and financial support of approximately 12 euros for each accommodation place intended for pigs for fattening, respectively 14 euros for sows and piglets. Additionally, the legislative package will introduce stricter measures against African swine fever, including increased penalties for the illegal transport of animals.
Tánczos Barna emphasized that a similar package is being prepared for sheep breeders, considering the difficulties faced by this sector.
