During an incident that occurred on Saturday, a yacht was attacked by killer whales near the coast of Lisbon, suffering severe damage that led to its sinking. The captain of a dolphin-watching tour intervened, observing how the yacht was being struck by orcas. Although the crew attempted to save the vessel, it sank slowly. A second boat was also attacked but managed to stay afloat and was safely towed. Maritime authorities have warned sailors to be cautious in the presence of whales.
