The general school inspector of ISJ Vrancea, Livia-Silvia Marcu, announced that the students stranded in Dubai due to the closure of airspace will receive absences starting today, when they were supposed to return to classes. Parents will need to take the necessary steps to justify these absences. The group of 28 children, students from grades V–XII, were participating in a private trip organized by a Cambridge center, which is not part of the state education system. The trip was planned during the mid-term vacation, and the children are accompanied by two teachers. Marcu emphasized that the parents agreed to this private trip.
