The incident took place on June 27, 2024, when Andrei Oniscu set fire to his professor in the lab after receiving a "F" on an exam. The Constanta court sentenced him to five years in prison for attempted murder and two years for destruction, while keeping him under house arrest. The victim did not suffer burns due to his quick reaction and the student admitted the crime, saying he intended to scare her. The sentence can be appealed within ten days.
