Sorin Grindeanu, proposed honorary citizen of Timiș County by an AUR counselor: "Mr. Sorin Grindeanu has done much more for this county than the entire political class has done."

During an extraordinary meeting of the Timiș County Council, Marcel Mihoc, AUR advisor, proposed Sorin Grindeanu for the title of "Honorary Citizen".

"Among all the politicians I have known for over 30 years, Mr. Sorin Grindeanu is a person who has done much more for this county than the entire political class has done, and I propose that he also be an Honorary Citizen in the future." said Marcel Mihoc during the meeting.

He emphasized that his statement was not ironic, but a conclusion based on his 30 years of experience in politics and business.

Although the proposal was not followed by an official vote, the meeting's leadership responded that it would consider proposals for the next year.

At the same time, during the same meeting, the title of "Honorary Citizen" was awarded to university professor Margit Șerban, recognized for her contributions to medicine and education.
