The snow removal and ice prevention program for the period December 1, 2025 – March 15, 2026 establishes the intervention procedures in winter conditions, including ice prevention and snow clearance. Romprest will use scheduled equipment for each street, and the City Hall will pay a standby fee for ten machines that will support the emergency crews. Activities will be carried out under the coordination of the Snow Removal Command, and citizens can report issues through Romprest's dispatch or the City Hall's call center.
Interventions are structured into four levels of urgency, activated based on weather warnings. Urgency 0 deals with ice prevention, Urgency 1 targets main arteries, Urgency 2 focuses on secondary streets, and Urgency 3 refers to the loading and transport of snow. Depending on the snow layer, a temporary traffic closure may be decided to facilitate clearance.
