Four missing persons in the area of Crestea Morarului, Bucegi Mountains, have been evacuated by SMURD helicopter.

On Sunday morning, four stranded tourists in the area of Crestea Morarului in Bucegi were evacuated with the help of a SMURD helicopter. The emergency call was received around 2:00 AM, and the mountain rescuers found that the individuals were well equipped and did not have serious medical issues, recommending that they stay in a safe area until daylight.

The SMURD helicopter, coming from POA Brașov, picked up two mountain rescuers from the Prahova Cota 1400 Rescue Base, who were transported to the incident site to evacuate the tourists via a trolley system.

At Cota 1400, several ambulances were mobilized, ready to assist the evacuated individuals if necessary. The intervention was coordinated by ISU Prahova, which announced the completion of the rescue operation.
