Romania's new road surveillance systems will include 400 fixed video cameras on national roads with high accident risk and a real-time analysis center. These cameras will detect road violations, such as using a cell phone while driving, and automatically alert police. The first installations will take place on major highways and DNs, with plans to become operational in the first part of 2026.
